What types of auto glass can be repaired?

Can a broken side window be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?
Side and rear windows are tempered glass. When it lets go it goes all at once, into pebbles rather than shards, which is much safer for you and does mean there is nothing left to repair. Tempered glass gets replaced. Only laminated glass, like your windshield, can be filled with resin.
How long does auto glass repair take?
